Shantelle Moxie has worked as a children's psychotherapist for over 11 years, specializing in the treatment of child sexual abuse. During her practice, she worked with over a hundred children-most of which were girls. She developed a unique style of treatment which incorporated healing and empowerment through creative play. Shantelle's primary goal was to instill in her clients that despite their horrendous experiences, they had the power to reclaim their lives and their bodies, and create a wonderful future. When Shantelle decided to transition into another career, she wanted to continue her commitment to empowering young girls, while incorporating her other passion-tea parties. As a result, SpecialTea Parties was born. SpecialTea Parties offers elegant and upscale tea parties, designed to illicit imagination, creativity, and fun in children. This all-inclusive, mobile tea party service offers parents a hassle-free party experience, that they can enjoy along with their children. In 2008, Shantelle was inspired to create a program that focused on teaching skills on manners and respect that could empower girls to reach their full potential. Relying on her background in children's psychotherapy and early childhood education, Shantelle created a program that offers a modern approach to etiquette. G.L.A.M. (Girls Learning About Manners) is a program that makes children feel excited about learning about manners through fun, girly themes. |
